The Wellington unit is one of five Regional Plastic Surgery Units
and serves the central region of New Zealand (see yellow on map).
The Craniofacial Programme
is supra-regional and includes the South Island.
The unit is based at Hutt Hospital and comprises eight consultant
Plastic Surgeons and three Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons.
The unit is highly regarded internationally and there is usually
a Craniomaxillofacial Fellow, a Head & Neck Fellow and a regular
flow of international doctors on medical electives.
