Charles Davis is a consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
working in both public and private practice. This website focuses
on his private practice. His public hospital practice, based in
Wellington, specializes in deformities of the face, skull and ears
caused by birth defects, accidents and cancer. Further

Charles believes that compassionate care, thorough training, excellent
technical expertise and perfecting standards are the cornerstones
on which he bases his practice and the individual needs of each
patient.
He consults and operates in both Wellington and Hawkes Bay where
he offers a broad range of cosmetic, paediatric, skin cancer and
reconstructive surgery.
Following specialist Plastic Surgery training in New Zealand (Fellowship
Royal Australasian College of Surgeons), Charles spent three years
of advanced postgraduate training in centres of excellence in Sweden,
Australia, Canada, UK, Belgium, France, USA and Malaysia where he
focused on craniofacial and cosmetic surgery.
Charles now leads the craniofacial team for central and southern
New Zealand and is a volunteer craniofacial surgeon to several countries
through Interplast and Rotary. He is actively involved in teaching
Plastic Surgery Registrars, medical students and General Practitioners
and is a senior lecturer for the University of Otago Medical School.
He is a member of local and international cosmetic and aesthetic
surgery societies and is an executive member of the local and regional
craniofacial societies. He has completed a PhD in Craniofacial Mechanobiology.
He regularly attends and contributes at local and international
meetings to maintain at the forefront of developments in both plastic
and cosmetic surgery.
