Please email or phone if you would like a current estimate of costs and further
information sent about breast reduction. In most cases
I use a vertical mastopexy technique. This is a short
scar vertical reduction technique (based on Canadian
surgeon Elizabeth Hall-Findlays modifications of the
Le Jour approach).
This technique avoids the long inframammary crease
incision and moulds the breast gland in such a way that
maintenance of the shape is preserved for longer. Other
techniques use the skin as a bra but leave longer scars
and the shape may drop more significantly.
There are many consequences of surgery which must be
thoroughly discussed beforehand. In particular these
include effects on breast feeding, sensation, scars
and shape changes over time.
Some insurances schemes will cover a significant portion
of the costs of surgery in specific circumstances.
